History

In historical perspective, cards is strongly related to the automotive industry.  The core business of the company, grounded in 1989 as cards Engineering,  was maintaining the hardware of  car manufacturers  and their suppliers. In the years to follow, cards Engineering has changed  the strategic direction from hardware deliverer to systems seller in the automotive industry with customers such as e.g. the Ford Motor Company. 
 
Nowadays cards Engineering is a international operating system integrator, serving the automotive industry as well as other industries. A new service department , called SI (System Integration) was founded in  the cards Engineering head office in Cologne Germany.  Several offices were established in Europe and the USA with
activities in 7 countries, namely The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, England, France, Spain and the US of America.

In July 1999 Eric Burghoorn started the Dutch establishment in Best. By Management Buy Out he got a 100%  importance in cards Engineering The Netherlands BV.

In June 2006 cards Engineering GmbH and RLE International integrated with a new name casolute GmbH. There still is a strong partnership with casolute GmbH  (www.casolute.com)

The explosive growth of cards Engineering The Netherlands BV. since 1999 and the diversity of activities gave impulse to give more focus to each of the 4 special acti-vities.These activities are concentrated in 4 different private limited companies (BV) :

cards PLM Solutions, cards ICT Solutions, cards ICT Services and cards OEM Solutions.

cards Engineering The Netherlands B.V.  is the holding company of these 4 private limited companies.
